Rent a Lens, Save a Family Vacation

Last spring, we went out to visit my brother and his family in San Francisco. We had not seen each other for several years, and with the way all of our children were growing, we figured that we were missing out and needed to get together. We were really close when we were younger, and really did not want to end up any more distant. Our children had kept in touch via the internet, so they knew each other, but they had not actually played together since they were in diapers, so a family get together was long overdue. We booked our tickets well in advance and found a hotel close by. Everything was in place and looked perfect. Continue reading

My Nikon Captured an Amazing Experience

Last summer, I went with a tour of photographers from Japan up to Yellowstone National Park. They flew into Salt Lake City, and then we drove up to the park by way of West Yellowstone. We stopped along the way in Idaho Falls for lunch, and the photographers took a lot of photos of the Mormon temple, right off of the river. They had enough beer at lunch that they slept most of the rest of the way, and I woke them up just before we entered the park. I am a tour guide, not a photographer, but I did not want to seem like a novice, so I went through a service to get a Nikon lens rental for my camera. I read up on the lenses as well, just in case they asked me any questions while we were out and about. Continue reading

Canon Lens Rentals Made for a Great Trip

A few weeks back, I went with some friends on a trip to see different sights in Arizona. We started out in Las Vegas and made our way down to Antelope Canyon in Page before heading all the way over to Monument Valley. In both places, we had guided tours with native Navajo guides, and both parks are actually part of the Navajo Tribal Park system. Two of the people that went with us were professional photographers, and so they carted along a lot of camera equipment. I am an amateur and have not invested much in cameras, so I went through a service to get a Canon lens rental for my camera so that I would not be left behind. Continue reading
